| STEP 1
Apply your choice of color glass to mandrel to make a round bead. If you are using a press, apply a sufficient amount for that particular press.

| STEP 2
Form glass into round bead then heat until glowing. |
|||
| STEP 3
Shape your bead using your press or by flattening it on a marver to give you a flat surface for the design. |

| STEP 4
Heat both sides of the flattened bead gently to remove cold rings. |
|||
| STEP 5
Add a large center dot then five additional dots around the center dot. |
|||
| STEP 6
Heat one outside dot then, with a dental pick, pull the edge of the dot towards the center dot until they touch (see step 7). |

| STEP 7
Continue heating and pulling each dot until all five dots touch the center dot. Repeat the heating and pulling of dots on the other side. |

| STEP 8
Gently heat the flower to melt in rough edges or seams. |
|||
|
Completed bead. Place bead into kiln to anneal. |
